Blake James Owens was born in Las Vegas, Nevada where he grew up until he attended the Salisbury School, a boarding prep school, in Salisbury, Connecticut. As the President of the Salisbury School, Blake garnered numerous academic and athletic accolades prior to attending the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). As the first of his family to graduate college, Blake earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, with a minor in Korean Humanities, in three years.
Prior to joining the Tru Development team, Blake held investment banking and wealth management analyst positions at The Goldman Sachs Group, Wedbush Securities, and Siemer & Associates (now known as CEC Capital Group). Blake specializes in financial analysis, underwriting, and financial modeling, which is a byproduct of his detail-oriented nature and vigorous work ethic.
In his spare time, Blake enjoys monitoring the stock market and his own investment portfolio; in fact, Blake started investing and writing trading algorithms at the age of 18. Aside from finance, Blake enjoys spending time with his family and in the gym; in 2017, Blake won multiple bodybuilding competitions in the Classic Physique division.
